Eskdalemuir Expressive Arts 'Introduction to painting with chalk pastels, with Alma Dowle' Sunday 29th July 2018

 From 31st July - 3rd August 2017 volunteers assisted with the cooking and serving
of meals to 1400 weary cyclists for the London-Edinburgh-London event.  
Along with the LEL organisers, we welcomed cyclists from
all around the UK, Europe, Asia and the US.

Craft Workshop - Spring 2017

On Saturday 26th November local residents and visitors
celebrated St.Andrews night with a good old Scottish Ceilidh! 
The popular & well known Ceilidh Band 'Two Left Feet'
performed, which was enjoyed by all! 

 A gathering of families and friends came along to the Hub
bonfire and fireworks display.  A tasty menu and mulled wine was served up, as
folk wrapped up warm and enjoyed the event with the community.

 The wonderful 'Ludo Expo' contemporary art exhibition is showing throughout
October 2016.  A colourful, eclectic mix of materials, up-cycling and
thought provoking pieces.  Running until 31st October and not to be missed!

 Thank you to all who came to our Harvest Producer's Market and Family Fun day.
It was a huge success and the Chocolate Making Workshop was a sell out!
We hope to have another one just before Christmas. Great to see everyone enjoying
 the sun and catching up with friends.

On 17th August 2016 the BBC 'Landward' programme came to the Hub to film!

were delighted to have them visit us!

 July welcomes the return of the popular 'Animus' art collective.  
The exhibition 'Harvest Moon' includes unique work from local artists
and is not to be missed!  Running throughout July.

 We welcomed the Langholm Probus Club for lunch today!
Seven fine young gentlemen who were up visiting the Seismological Station
and the Observatory. Thanks for your custom Harry, Jim & Co!

 Hub Fest 2016 - Music - Art - Storytelling - Food - Friendship      
 Hub Fest 2016 is our annual get together to celebrate with family and friends in
 the community.  We had a drumming workshop held by Community Drum Circle,
Storytelling by Elinor Predota (as part of our popular ANIMAS Art Exhibition) 
Local music group 'JOICE' of Moffat joined us to play music and have a sing-a-long!  
With a yummy 'Route 66' menu at the Old School Cafe & Bistro.  
A great success - enjoyed by all!

Wee Lewis Sprott enjoys a ride on the vintage horse and relaxes in the lovely
 space of the 'Animas' exhibition!  Most of our events are family friendly and 
we have a good selection of toys, books and baby changing facilities available.

Whether you sew, knit, crochet and enjoy other handicrafts (or would like to learn)
join us for a cuppa and a blether, to craft together!
Wednesdays at 1.30pm - 3.30pm

 The Hub Community Shop now has additional shelving space
(made by local Craftsman, Ludo) and with it, more lovely stock. Pop in and see!

 Families & individuals living in Eskdalemuir each decorated canvas
squares to create a piece of wonderful community artwork.
