Here you can see our upcoming events and recent activities at the Eskdalemuir Community Hub and the developments of the UEDG across our wider community, linking in with our partners in the area.

The Upper Eskdale Development Group is a company and a charity set up for the benefit of the inhabitants of the community within the parish of Eskdalemuir.  The aims are to deliver benefit to the existing community as well promote its development and regeneration.

The Hub is a place to meet, with a café/bistro/bar, community shop, rooms to hire, space for events and group activities.

COMMUNITY SHOP

WINTER OPENING TIMES

Tuesday - Friday 10am - 4pm

Saturday & Sunday - 11am - 3pm


 We now have a computerised till system in place in the shop and are training our existing volunteers.  However, we are also looking for new volunteers who would like to get involved in the day to day running of the shop. Training and support will be given on all aspects of the job so please get in touch if you are interested.

IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO VOTE FOR THE PLAYGROUND
 AT THE COMMUNITY HUB IN ESKDALEMUIR!


A PLAYGROUND FOR ALL at the Community Hub in Eskdalemuir has been
shortlisted for a public vote in Tesco’s Bags of Help initiative!

Vote for us to win the top prize in store! A Playground for the young
and the young at heart!  Help us make it happen:

Vote in Tesco stores (Lockerbie & Annan) from 31st October to 13th November

to help us secure a Tesco Bags of Help grant!


Tesco has teamed up with Groundwork on its Bags of Help initiative across Scotland. The scheme will see three community groups and projects awarded grants of £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 – all raised from the 5p bag charge.  Greenspace Scotland are working with Groundwork to support Scottish communities.

Bags of Help offers community groups and projects in each of Tesco’s regions across the UK a share of revenue generated from the 5p charge levied on single-use carrier bags.
